An apple a day....

We met up with Leah's friends to go apple picking. This has always been a tradition of Mommy and Daddy's but it was even more fun with her. It only took us 10 minutes to get there which made us realize we are REALLY no longer city folks and have officially moved to the country. Daddy played hooky from work and we couldn't be happier. He was officially the king of the apples and took home over 100 ( really why??? what are we gonna do with all these apples, we've already started passing them out to the neighbors). Leah got to eat her first real apple. Her favorite part was playing in the pumpkin patch with her crew!

Such a tropper!!

"oh no you don't!!"
"don't even think about it"
"this isn't so bad"

So here we are and weeks later Leah still has a bad cough. On our last weekly adventure to the doctors office they recommended we start her on a nebulizer. My heart just broke when the doctor brought it out. She was NOT enjoying the treatment at the doctors office. But here we are our first night and she is such a tropper. Thanks to "Blue's Clues" ( which is her favorite show. I know she shouldn't be watching tv, but she gets so happy when she sees that blue dog......and hey we turned out okay, a little tv never hurt anybody) she can watch that and do her treatment at the same time. She is already feeling better, so it's all worth it. Now if we can only make mommy better. And just think of the footage we will have when she becomes an Olympian and they do the segement on the hurdles she had to overcome.

Get me out of here

Look who got caught trying to breakout of her crib. How she got this way I have no idea, but I think it's time to lower the crib.

Golf, Bagels, and Lox.....Oh My!

Hey Rylee........where do we tee off?
Sunny, 75 degrees ( in October?), and Mommy had another day off. Today Leah had two more exciting "first's". We went to a golf charity tournment held by Sophia's mommy and daddy ( Keri and Nick). Although she was dressed for the occasion she only played with her toys and didn't hit the green. It felt good to already be teaching her about giving back to others. This was also her first Yom Kippur, so we headed over to Stephanie and Phill's..............
Leah couldn't wait to "break the fast" at the Kurchacks....oh wait, didn't we eat all day at the golf tournament. It was so good to see them. Stephanie's is Mommy's very best friend and has always been by her side since high school. She was even the first to find out Mommy was pregnant! It was nice to see some of the Spring Valley crew and meet baby Jordan!! Now where is my bagel...................
Oh here it is...............all I need is my lox!

My first sick day

So not all days are giggles and cute pictures. This picture here is what an ear ache, sneezy nose, bad cough, and throw up look like!! Today is the first day Mommy had to stay home from work to hang with her princess. My heart breaks for her. At least she is in good spirits. I felt so bad taking this picture, but I had to, it just said it all !! Let's just hope this doesn't last long. It's not easy scrubbing every toy a thousand times!

TuTu's in the Park

What a busy and fun day! I was finally off from work and we did as much as we could together. First the libray for some Mother Goose, then Gymboree, and off to the park for our BFF portraits in tutu's. A nap defiantly would have helped because although she looked adrobale she was not a happy camper. Don't think America's Next Top Model is in her furture ( thank g-d)!! It was so great seeing all of her friends. We REALLY miss them and everyone is getting so big.

Happy 6 month Bday!

So after coming home from Jen's Baby Shower I brought Leah a cupcake home to celebrate her bday. Has it been a half a year already? Crazy! I know everyone said that the time would fly...well they weren't lying. This has been the best time of my life. Most people only talk about hard it is to be a new mom but you never hear about how much FUN it's going to be. She is the most amzing and meaningful person in our lives. Don't get me wrong, some days are hard...but I guess I know that since I'll be going back to work I just want to apprecaie every day I have. The other day Corey and I were talking about that we just randomly will start to cry when we play or hang out with her because we feel so lucky. It is that powerful. So on your bday I just want to say thanks for making our lives so special.

In 6 months you have:

smiled almost daily

slept through the night

made some great friends

learned to enjoy music (especially when i sing james taylor)

have mommy and daddy wrapped around your finger

i think your off to a great start.........

Our last playgroup.....

I knew this was going to be a sad day. Never did I realize I would make such a great group of friends. I know we'll stay close, but i will really miss seeing them almost every day for months. It has been so wonderful watching the babies grow together. All of us have learned from each other and I am a better mom because of them. They threw us a "going back to work party" with a cake ( even though my head was chopped off) and a photo album.

Thanks for teaching us...........

Jodi,Olivia & Sydney: your mom is supermom, when in doubt swaddle, to never complain about having 1 baby ( two is MUCH harder), and ALWAYS being there for me . My day never felt right if we didn't talk. I knew we would be bff.

Keri & Sophia: We would have never had anything to do if you didn't organize it ( you're the best President and friend), Sophia being the happiest baby ever, your infectious laugh and of course your JUG ( with those perfect turkey sandwhiches)!

Janelle & Rylee: Always having the cutest and best toys/clothes/pillows/blog/pretty bows...you inspire us. And how to always remain calm and patient ( even with all the traveling!!). I always fet as though rylee and leah were going through the exact same things!

Ana & Madelyn: Never met someone as genuine as you...you taught us that even when you are faced with obstacles there is always something waiting for you that is beautiful and wonderful if you keep trying.

Amy & Noa: to find our spirituality ( thanks for my hebrew name, elesheva) and always having the best advice. We'll never forget that when ever mommy was REALLY stressed out , you always stepped in to make it better.

Ali & Layla: we found our holistic side in you ( thanks for the yoga and always encouraging us to be healthy in our mind and body). Layla you were always a great yoga instructor as well. Thanks for never getting frazzled, it encouraged me to slow down.

Melissa & Will: You guys were the first one's we spoke to ( besides Jodi but that doesn't count) and made us feel welcomed at your new playgroup and walking. I always thought well she's cool , it can't be that bad. Will you are a stud with your "popped collars" and plaid pants! defaintly the preppiest baby on the block.

Casey & Rylee: Thanks for making me laugh every week. You two are the most chill people and we were always inspired by your creative talents and easy going. Rylee is "superbaby" and will be jumping out of airplanes and landing on her feet by 18 months.

Leah & Pike: It was so cool to add another boy to the crew and Leah you are just kickass, fighting for everyone's rights, i love it. my leah has a big name to fill!!

Yana & Sophia: I always admired how you came from such a far away place and fit right in. I still never want to stand next to you in a picture!!

Emma & Evie: For being one of the nicest people i've met. It felt good to another mommy going back to work where we can compare notes.!

Elizabeth & Isabelle: It was helpful to hear you stories about your daddy and what we could learn from that.

We took a trip out to New Jersey today to visit Mommy's oldest best friend, Quana. Leah and Sean had fun playing together and they can't wait to go to their first JETS game together. We miss Sean and Quana and wish they didn't live so far away, but they mean the world to us. You were both in our bellys when we went to Puert Rico for New Years Eve ( the wedding!). We are praying for Angel to return home quickly and safely from Iraq.

Sweet Baby James

James and Michelle came all the way to Danbury to visit. Michelle has been such a great friend to me and especially since we 've become Mommies together. We couldn't wait to get them together to play. We think they are in love........

Tyson is tring to join the fun ( like usual). James is showing off to Leah that he can sit up and she can't yet. That's okay he's got 4 months on her. She likes older men!
Leah decided to show James her room before they went swimming.

BHEC: CIT of 2023?

Do we have to leave???

Camp has always been one of the most important parts of my life. We went up for alumni day and it was just perfect. We had great weather and got to see alot of good friends. Leah even took a nap in front of the lake with all the screaming kids running around. We took a walk up the hill to show her, Jared and Lainey the rest of the camp. Four Brothers followed for dinner. It just wouldn't be a trip to camp without that. Seriously, when do we put the deposit down for camp? Not trying to get rid of her, just want her to have the friends and experiences I had there. ( and Daddy for the one week he spent in asthma camp).

Summer Nights

Tuesday nights are concert in the park in Ridgefield. Not once have I payed attention to the music, but nothing beats warm nights outside with babies, friends, and drinks!!! Funny how "parties in the park" have changed to strollers and carseats.

Finally some food!

OOOhhh boy, now things are really getting fun. Not that I didn't enjoy breastfeeding, but nothing beats feeding this girl. She is a monster when it comes to food ( as are her parents). I've never seen such a little thing eat so much. This "cereal" is totally gross, but she is gobbling it up like it's a cheeseburger. Haven't found a food yet she didn't like.

Daddy's 35th Birthday

Today was Daddy's special day! Althoug he was feeling old turning the big 3-5 we had a great time. All of our good friends came over and it was the first party we had in the house since Leah was born. Even though we made fun of Jonathan for hiring cleaning ladies at their party.....after ours ,we decided that wasn't such a bad idea after all! Happy Birthday Corey.....we love you.
