Mommy's first Mother's Day

My first Mothers Day was really special.
We all went to Noni's to celebrate.
It felt nice being part of this new exclusive club. I am so honored and it is still really surreal, that we have a baby. We all went to the park and enjoyed the great spring weather.

A fish called Leah

This was Leah's first trip to the pool. She LOVED it!! I am assuming that because it is as warm as her bath's she thinks that is where she is. Thank goodness cause we know how much her mommy loves the pool!

The new pledge of AOTT

Ten years after graduation and no one would have guessed I'm the first in this crew of AOTT misfits to have a baby. Leah loved meeting the girls and she fits right in. Even some of the fellas were hearing their clocks ticking after hanging with her. ( that would be Lou)!!

My new friends......

Look at all these girls and Will (in the middle) is the man!

I use to make fun of those "mommy groups" until I became a mommy. So due to my difficulty with the boobs ( breastfeeding of course) I decided to join the Bethel Mommy Group. Best decision I've made so far. The group has been so helpful and makes me feel that I am not the only crazy one out there. I never realized how much emotional/mental support could help. There is a crew of us that have started to become really good friends ( or I like to call the Boob Group). Other than talking about our babies and their eating/pooping/sleeping we have time to laugh about ourselves. ( which is nice and necessary). So Leah now has a posse of friends. We go walking ( trying so hard to get that last 10 lbs off), try to get free demo classes, and hang every Friday at different houses. I went from knowing no one in the state of CT ( except Jodi, who I have convinced to join me at the group, so I can trick her into being my friend:) to having a group of great friends!

Where's the Matzah?

Leah's first holiday was spent at Noni's for Passover. It feels so good to be able to take her out of the house. It is very interesting trying to figure out the eating/traveling/sleeping/ schedule. Thank goodness Corey's even temper has been passed down to her ( because obviously I am the crazy one in the family). I'm sure that temerpent will come in handy during her teenage years. We love seeing the family. Jared and Lainey get sooo excited to see and touch her. I know they will all grow up together and be so close. I have the best sister in the world. She has been so amazing during my pregnancy and since Leah has been born. I turn to her for advice and everything. I could only hope to be as a good mom as she is. My mom has been so great too. She is so ready to spoil her and I love how sweet she is with her. Who knew this would only make us closer. I did miss my Nana and Poppy at this holiday. It makes me sad that Leah will never know them but I feel their presence always. I will make sure that she knows what they meant to me and our family.

Leah said even the matzah ball soup was good!

Daddy's Girl

In one short month I've already realized that Leah is Daddy's little girl. Since I am home from work ( and loving it!) she is already getting used to having me around. But when Daddy comes home from work she'll start to smile ( yes, she is already smiling) and squeal. It makes both of us so emotional. There is a look in her eyes that says "he is ALL mine". I just love it and I know it makes Corey feel special.

Meeting the family!

Noni and Grandma Shirley are so excited I'm a girl! I am so lucky to have the best grandmothers in the whole world. I can't wait for them to spoil me!

Hello Papa...nice to meet you!

Look how excited I am to meet my cousins Jared and Lainey. (Really I am excited). They promise me to always show me the ropes and take me with them when they go somewhere cool.
Here I am with Aunt Marcie and Uncle Jeff. They are the best....hey you look like my mommy!
This is my cousin Jocelyn already showering me with gifts!
What up big brother!!! Wow......we really look alike!

Welcome Home!

Leah arrives at home. We couldn't wait to get her home to meet Tyson. There were so many friends and family that stopped by the first week. We discoverd her new nickname "Lele". She has sooo much hair and already looks ALOT like Corey. She loves to sleep....thank g-d!

Our baby girl arrives!!

She was born four days early and the delivery went well ( a good 13 hours from start to finish!). It was the night before my last day of work. Had Chinnese food and went to sleep after Lost. Woke up at 11pm with a surprise. We'll never forget how we made it to the hospital and the nurse asked me where I was from 1-10........I said a 0, this is easy!!! A few hours later I was at a 12! Corey practically delivered her on his own ( the doc showed up for the last 2 minutes!). The minute I saw tears in Corey's eyes I knew.....it was a girl. We had our Leah. From the minute she was born, eyes were wide open and ready to meet the world! She is everything and more that we hoped for!! Let the fun begin.........
